IEEE Malta Section proudly participated in Science in the City 2025, Malta’s national science and arts festival, held on 26th and 27th September 2025 in Valletta.

This year’s festival carried the theme “Past Forward”, inviting visitors to explore how lessons from history drive today’s innovation and creativity. The two-day event transformed Valletta — from Triton Fountain to Sala San Duminku and Duttrina Hall — into a vibrant hub of science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM).

IEEE Malta Section was among the many organisations that engaged the public with interactive exhibits and demonstrations, showcasing the work of engineers and technologists and inspiring the next generation of innovators.

Science in the City attracted over 30,000 visitors, 600 volunteers, and 90 partner organisations, making it one of Malta’s largest and most impactful community events.
